iCADA becomes a Tec-Sem Group company
Tec-Sem Group AG (SWX Swiss Exchange: TSGN) has signed a contract to acquire 55 % ownership of the privately held iCADA GmbH, Ludwigshafen, with an option to purchase the remaining 45 %. The transaction's first step to purchase a 55 % stake in iCADA from the owners has been completed today; the parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. Rudy Federici, CEO of Tec-Sem Group AG has sold the total of his 10 % ownership of iCADA and the founders of iCADA have sold the other 45 %. The agreement also provides Tec-Sem Group the right to acquire the remaining 45 % stake in iCADA from the founders until 1 January 2011.
Rudy Federici, Tec-Sem Group's CEO, commented: “iCADA's software is the best of bread for reticle management; with the acquisition of iCADA, our group can now offer a package including the newly introduced reticle storage system and the software used for the entire reticle life-cycle management within wafer-fabs.”
Tobias Ferber, CTO of iCADA, added: “by joining the Tec-Sem Group, we can now take full advantage of the worldwide sales and service organization of the Group, the possibility to offer complete solutions to our customers will lead to additional sales, I am happy to join forces with the Tec-Sem Group AG.”
